What we collect from subscribers
- Your name, business name and email address, and the pack and city you choose, to send you the lists.
- Payment details, which are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us. We see only the card brand, the last four digits and your billing country.
- Emails you send us.
What we collect from website visitors
Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not run analytics. If that changes, we’ll update this page and ask for your consent where required. Stripe’s checkout pages set their own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud; see Stripe’s privacy policy.
How we use it
Only to deliver the service, bill you, answer you and tell you about changes to your subscription. We don’t sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the providers that run the service: Stripe (payments), Google Workspace (email) and Hostinger (website hosting), some of which may store data outside Canada.
Emails we send
We sometimes email businesses whose address is published on their own website, about a list relevant to their trade, as permitted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. Every email includes our mailing address and a way to opt out; reply STOP and we’ll remove you within 10 business days.
The permit data itself
Our lists come from public city open data. We deliberately leave out applicants’ personal names; lists contain property addresses and contractor business names only.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep subscriber information while you’re subscribed and for as long as tax law requires afterwards (generally six years for billing records in Canada). You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing us.
