These terms cover your use of mondaypermits.ca and any Monday Permits subscription. Monday Permits is a service of ScopeX Media, 245 McKenzie Towne Square SE, Calgary, AB T2Z 1E3, Canada (“we”, “us”). Contact: gery@mondaypermits.ca.
1. What you get
A weekly email, normally sent Monday morning (Mountain time), listing building permits issued by the city you chose during the previous week, filtered and ranked for the pack you chose, with a downloadable spreadsheet. The One Pack plan covers one pack in one city; the All Packs plan covers every pack in one city.
2. Where the data comes from
All permit information comes from public open-data sources published by the City of Calgary, the City of Edmonton and the City of Vancouver, under their open government licences. We do not create, verify or correct that information. Project values, descriptions and contractor names are as recorded by the city or declared by the applicant. Monday Permits is not affiliated with or endorsed by any city.
The service is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee that the data is complete, accurate or on time, or that any listing will lead to work for you. Occasionally a city’s data feed is late or unavailable; when that happens we send the list as soon as the data is published.
3. How you may use the lists
- Use them to find and pursue work for your own business.
- Don’t resell, republish or share the lists outside your company.
- When you contact anyone you find through a list, you are responsible for following the law that applies to you, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the Do Not Call rules and privacy law.
4. Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in Canadian dollars, in advance, starting the day you subscribe, and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Receipts and invoices show “ScopeX Media”, and card statements show “MONDAYPERMITS”. If we ever change the price of your plan, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies, and your founding price is kept for as long as you stay subscribed.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel any time from the subscription portal or by replying to any Monday email. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep receiving lists until the end of the month you’ve paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost jobs or indirect losses.
7. Changes and ending the service
We may update these terms; we’ll email subscribers about material changes before they take effect. We may stop offering the service with 30 days’ notice, and refund any unused prepaid period.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
